The Wat Chiang Man is in the centre of the old Chiang Mai, eg. inside the city walls (or moats). It is one of the oldest in town. Its specificity is to offer a chedi circled by elephants. It is also a good launching to explore downtown Chiang Mai. From Wat Chiang Man, you can walk and reach Thapae Gate through sois, small shops and forgotten temples.
